Surf & windsurf
Main winds are Libeccio, Ponente and Levante. Nearby you can find also Maestrale and Tramontana winds. During summer, due to the crowd of tourists, you have to use a selected spot to enter the sea:

www.bagniponterosso.it a good place for kitesurfer too, it's just 10 meters far from the hotel!

At the main port, the Club Del Mare di Diano Marina organizes windsurf and navigation lessons.

In Diano Marina you can find also some good shurf shops. Just ask at the reception for directions.

Outside the summer, in Imperia, Sabbia d'Oro's beach becomes a great windsurf and kitesurf spot. When the weather gets hangry, it's surf time.

Regarding waterski, wakeboarding, scuba diving, please ask at Diano Marina's port (1 km from the Hotel) where you can also rent a jetsky. Be sure to check Eurosub and West Coast Divers about scuba diving.

Road biking, MTB, freeride, cross-country, downhill...

On the road, you're directly on the last part of Milano Sanremo race.
If you want peaceful country roads, just cross the main street and loose yourself in our hinterland. From ancient villages between olive trees, to the grass and cows of Colle D'Oggia. Beware! You'll find easy trips and hardcore ones! We have some pretty steep uphill roads!

MTB isn't easy around here. That's why: the nearest single track is just 1 km far from the Hotel, but many directions for the best tracks are missing. We have various touristic tracks, with all kinds of signals and maps, good for a cross country trip int the nature, but the true single tracks are known by the locals only.
If you want to make an enjoyable tour in our valleys, just ask a map at the reception or at the Cannondale Store Emporiobike, where you can also rent true mountainbikes and road bikes (150 mt from the Hotel).

If you want to ride hard, then prepare yourself. Usually outsiders find themself a little unprepared to our grounds, filled with stones and tricky lines. Diano Marina's gulf has three main areas with various tracks and difficulties, from medium to hard. To find these, ask to the locals or just ask for a guide at the Cannondale Store Emporiobike. If you're going freeride, remember a good set of protections: jumps, walls and crazy natural/handbuilt stuff are everywhere.

Trekking, caving

Diano Marina's gulf has a quite intricated track system, with an huge amount of trips that can be done in any season. Ciapà natural park, napoleonic trenches, ancient romanic roads...just ask for maps and directions at the reception.

Many more interesting places can be reached with a small car trip.
In 20 minutes you can reach the beautiful hills over Laigueglia and Colla Micheri.

Starting from Porto Maurizio (Imperia, 20 minutes by car) you can enter the via Marenca, the ancient Via del Sale (used for an annual off-road raid too) that links Limone to our sea. The whole track is filled with battle areas, ancient romanic and pre-romanic buildings, woods and natural beauties.

Tennis

In Diano Marina you'll find grass, concrete and clay courts. Just ask at the reception.

Swimming

Our hotel has a main pool with salt water, 15 meters long. Just facing San Bartolomeo al Mare, 50 meters from the Hotel, you'll find an area in the sea surrounded by moles, hundreds meters long, where you can swim with reduced waves.

In Imperia Porto Maurizio, 20 minutes by car, you can find the public swimming pool Cascione.

Equestrianism

In Dolcedo, just over Imperia, you'll find Mulino Martino (tel +39 0183 280782, @) a riding school with stables that offers lessons and guided tours over the surrounding vallyes. Various others riding schools can be found a little farther (just ask at reception).

Golf

In Albenga (25 minutes by car) you'll find the well known golf Garlenda.
Near Castellaro, the Castellaro Golf, over Sanremo, the Circolo Golf degli Ulivi.

Sailing

In Diano Marina, Club del Mare offers sailing lessons.

If you love the sea, check movimentoenatura: you'll find offers for dailly tours, with Sanremo as starting point.

Go kart

A 600 meters track it's just near the highway exit of Arma di Taggia (20 minutes by car). Pista Oleandri offers karts ready for 5 years old racers up to people like Schumacher, Max Biaggi, Michael Douan, Johnny Herbert, Clay Regazzoni, Heinz H. Frentzen that use frequently this pro-track.

Bowling di Diano, 5 minutes by bike, 10 minutes by foot, has a small go kart track too.

Paragliding

If you're a paragliding or parachuting enthusiast, ask to Paracadutismo e Parapendio, Vicolo N. Rodini 1 in Diano Castello (5 minutes by car), tel 380 7157113.

You can find other spots In Mendatica, Alassio, Toirano.

Canyoning

Imperia's hinterland offers various canyons with different difficulties: in about one hour you can reach rio Santa Lucia, with a two to four and half hours of canyoning fun. A little farther, torrente Argentina and Maglia. Check www.movimentoenatura.it to book trips.
Many others canyons can be found arund our areas, like rio Infernetto near Realdo, rio Passetto near Mendatica, Gole di Buggio near Buggio.
