A beautiful coast, beaches of fine sands surrounded by the mediterranean
vegetation. Palms, agaves, maritime pines, secular olive trees, citrus:
this is the gulf of Diano Marina, between Cape Berta and Cape Cervo.
Hotels,
beaches, night life. Diano Marina became a turistical town with the
rebuilding after the 1887 earthquake that almost completely destroyed
the ancient fisherman's town. It all begun with Paradiso hotel, chosen
by a colony that came from Milan after choosing our place for the climate
and the welcoming gulf.
District Paradisi (just after the bridge over San Pietro river) is filled
by hotels, meeting places and shops, where you can spend some enjoyable
time back from the beach.
An event you can't miss is the "Infiorata del Corpus Domini",
when flowers are put over the roads in Diano Marina, creating beautiful
and colorful drawings.
On the seaside, behind Via Aurelia, the Museo Civico, inside Palazzo
del Parco, with roman, preroman and prehistorical finds, where you may
understand how many secrets are kept in our hinterland. Behind the railway,
a paleochristian church, devoted to Saints Nazario and Celso.
You may also try to find the traces of Via Julia
Augusta, an ancient roman road, the only way to reach France from our
country. Rural architecture, true country life, hidden treasures, all
within a few minutes from our hotel.
